My name is Andrea Cassidy and I moved to Georgia from Millington, a small town in Michigan, (about 1 ½ hours north of Detroit) in 2003. I grew up with my parents and two younger sisters, who still live in Michigan. I attended college at Saginaw Valley State University and graduated with a degree in elementary education and minors in mathematics, natural science, and early childhood education. I received my master's degree in teacher leadership through the University of Illinois. This is my seventh year teaching second grade at Findley Oaks. Wow! Time flies when you're having fun! Second grade is the best! :) This year I will be part of Findley Oaks' leadership team as the grade level chair representing second grade. I am happily married to Nick Cassidy, assistant principal at Spalding Drive Charter Elementary School. We spend our time traveling, completing home improvements, and taking care of our baby, Gus (our Jack Russell Terrier). My hobbies include traveling, updating my website, reading, scrapbooking, hiking, camping, playing tennis. Click here to read about my favorite things! Click here to read my philosophy of education.
